About the job Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail,
Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads,
AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a
complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the
product's journey. From determining positioning, naming,
competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external
communications, you help shape the representation of the product
and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a
cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications,
legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In
this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from
beginning to end.As the Chief of Staff, you will be a key leader
across the Google Cloud Marketing organization. You will drive high
priority projects, strategic initiatives, and executive
communications and enablement for the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
and leadership team. This role offers a unique bird's eye view of
the strategic priorities across the organization. You'll use this
vantage point to carefully communicate, encourage deeper
collaboration and efficiency across teams, and plug into key
organizational and company initiatives. Know the user. Know the
magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts
with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in
unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's
products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic,
from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a
way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium,
making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the
technology speak for itself. Responsibilities Partner with the
leadership team to identify priorities and opportunities, and to
develop and write communications, presentations, Q&As, and key
talking points for VP/CMO externally and internally, proxy as
needed/appropriate.
Lead executive communications to the broader organization and work
across functions to provide a consistent strategic narrative and
identify key touch-points to cascade, including Director and
Manager Forums, off-sites, etc.
Work with the Strategy and Operations team to support activities
and communications to ongoing business cadence and priorities.
Build solid relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
Understand their business needs, recommend solutions, and implement
improvements. Drive strategic projects across Marketing, and
partner with Cloud go-to-market, YouTube, Ads and Consumer
Marketing.
Manage team culture in partnership with Global Strategy and
Operations, Marketer Training, and HR. Support planning and
execution of organization-wide initiatives.
