Job Description:
Providing transportation data analysis and Order Fulfillment
decision making support to key senior leaders within the company
involved with revenue generation and recognition. Central point of
contact, Control Tower, within the Global Logistics team to
coordinate and provide direction throughout the finished goods and
Sales Transfer Order (STO) processes. Lead projects focused on
transportation, order processing for both outbound and returns
management. Coordinate with Sales, Marketing teams, Tech Services,
Clinical Trials, Planning, Finance, Logistics and the functions
within Business Operations, to ensure that orders are properly
prioritized, handled efficiently, cost effectively and on time from
all global Cepheid shipping locations. Collaborate with multiple
business groups with the goal of developing and effectively
communicating plans that will ensure optimal revenue recognition,
on time delivery and clear cost efficiencies. Identify operational
inefficiencies and make recommendations for cross functional
process improvements. Create simplified, weekly, cross functional
data gathering process/tool to generate globally consistent and
current summary of data easily validated by all stakeholders.
Provide order fulfillment updates and analytics for senior
executives from Finance, Sales, Customer Service and Operations for
month, quarter and year end closing activities. Create and provide
weekly shipment reporting (focused on future and active orders) to
Sr. Director of Global Logistics. Provide methods of communication
to global satellite distribution hubs, both directly and through
reporting tools that are developed. Assure timely product delivery
for key large orders and STOs in accordance with external and
internal customer requirements while aligning with Sales, Planning
and Manufacturing on product availability. Understand and meet
internal KPI of On Time Delivery (OTD) with focus of ensuring the
Logistics role in monthly and quarterly revenue recognition is
never a cause for missing targets. Monitor daily finished goods
production and create clear and timely reports to be available to
WH fulfillment teams. Foster and maintain strong working
relationships with internal and external business partners to
expedite the review and approval process for non-conforming deals.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management,
Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field (willing to
accept foreign education equivalent) plus five years of experience
as analyst in supply chain management. Alternatively, a Master's
degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Industrial
Engineering or a related field (willing to accept foreign education
equivalent) and three years of experience as analyst in supply
chain management. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering,
Industrial Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) and five years of experience as an analyst in
supply chain management. OR Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering,
Industrial Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) plus three years of experience as stated
above. Position requires 10% international and domestic travel. Skills Required: Experience must include working in collaboration with cross
functional teams including IT, finance, Logistics and OM to define
data requirements for Business and design data models to support
SAP enhancements, implementation lifecycles as well as interactive
dashboards. Using BIT reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI,
Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Office, Salesforce or SQL server to
facilitate the design of data visualizations and dashboards based
on data availability for multiple warehouses. Documenting and
training warehouse/logistics personnel on new and existing data
visualizations created using advanced SQL queries, DAX languages,
ETL models and data warehousing techniques. Proposing and
implementing leading edge methods to automate, analyze and
interpret data to eliminate manual tasks and improving efficiency
within the organization. Working on inventory planning, warehouse
management, developing solutions for Parts Presentation, Material
Handling, Process Flow and Space Optimization. Sorting, managing
and merging data from different sources to identify trends and
relational connections within manufacturing and logistics to make
decisions on process improvement impacting global logistics
operations and customers. Investigating efficiency gains and
optimized manufacturing processes using Design of Experiments
(DOEs), Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, Gage R&R,
Process Capability and other statistical analysis tools. Interested applicants should send an email to
