and Win new business for Proofpoint's Managed Services
divisionSupport Core Sales Team, as an Overlay Specialist in
Proofpoint Managed ServicesManage a geographic territory across
multiple segments and verticals (Strategic, Enterprise, Mid-Market,
SLED, etc.)Collaborate with customers to help solve their toughest
security challenges.Build and execute on an annual business plan
for the specific region. The plan will clearly define targeted
accounts and the specific tasks needed to obtain the financial
objectives.Consistently drive new business opportunities working
with the Proofpoint core team and Channel Partners.Achieve and
exceed monthly and quarterly quotas as assigned to the
regionActively and energetically initiate contact with key decision
-makers within targeted industries.Maintain and track sales
opportunities using Salesforce.com - must be able to accurately
forecast these sales opportunities.Persistent, tenacious, possess
the ability to overcome obstacles.Collaborate internally across
Proofpoint with key areas to include Legal, Finance, Professional
Services, and the core sales team.Learn and maintain in-depth
knowledge of products, services, competitors, and industry
trends.What you bring to the teamEnergetic, enthusiastic, and
reliable. Team player driven for success.Excellent verbal and
written communication skills.Self-motivated individual who is able
to prioritize and multi-task and works well under pressure.4 -year
college degree is preferred.Minimum 5 years Information Security
outside sales experience requiredManaged Security Service Provider
(MSSP) or Consulting experience is highly preferredStrong
established relationships with key end-customer accounts in your
assigned region.Salesforce.com CRM experience and strong Microsoft
Office skills requiredStrong group presentation skills are
required.Verifiable history of exceeding sales goals, generating
