Job Description -Field Service Returns Material Handler

The successful candidate must be an aggressive self-starter that possesses strong organizational and communication skills while working under strict time deadlines in an ever-changing environment. Hours are 7:00AM-3:30PM M-F

Role and Responsibilities:

• The field service returns material handler will own and influence all field service returns material processes from returns receipt to stores, including MRB material on behalf of Quality team (Material Review Board) and prep for shipments overseas and inter org
• The field service returns material handler will provide domain expertise and technical support to team(s) assigned to his / her length of the supply chain within the warehouse operations group, as well as, report and recommend projects gleaned from relevant metrics
• Help in continuous improvement projects in his / her area of responsibility within FS returns
• The field service returns material handler will help lead, identify and help implement actions to improve process quality, as well as accelerate and support change efforts aimed at achieving organizational goals
• Includes activities such as processing transactions, managing processes, material management and cross functional employee engagement
• Load/unload standard/oversized materials to/from trucks, including material deemed scrap with scrap vendor
• Deliver or route materials to Bloom cross-functional teams/departments using Forklift or pallet jack
• Palletize and secure material on pallet by placing protector guard, strapping and wrapping the pallet
• Create packaging if needed
• Perform material transactions in Oracle daily
• Maintain good housekeeping (5S) of the Warehouse Operations area and comply with safety requirements
• Consolidate materials in rack or lanes to maximize the usage of warehouse footprint
• Breakdown boxes/crates for recycling, sort scrap material and separate metal for reclamation value
• Acknowledge and create material requests using 3PLs' WO template and submit for processing
• Ensure accuracy of inventory pulled and shipped from the 3PL by maintaining accurate transactions in Oracle
• Troubleshoot order discrepancies, inventory discrepancies and report findings to the Bloom internal and cross-functional teams
• Serve as a liaison between the 3PL and Bloom internal customers
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing at any level
• Ensure that the Bloom internal customer is provided with accurate, timely and relevant data in regards to any material movement
• Conduct historical material transaction research to validate discrepancies
• Ability to work with zero to minimum supervision; self-driven, self-directed day to day
• Perform other duties as required and identified by warehouse manager, supervisor
• Participate in annual Physical Inventory In the role of field service coordinator, you will:
  • Be an EH&S champion - promote, lead and support an interdependent safety culture
  • Lead facilitate inbound material traffic, material into stores and MRB stores on behalf of Quality team
  • Work with warehouse operations management team to understand and communicate priorities
  • Be involved in discussions with other functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working
  • Help build process's and reporting metrics to manage and track incoming FS returns
  • Overcome roadblocks to ensure timely and compliant material disposition
  • Leverage communication and analytical skills to drive and influence action from cross functional teams
  • Have the ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to execute, multi-task and deliver on commitments- other duties as necessary
  • Capability to coordinate several projects simultaneously with little to zero management supervision Education and Experience:
    • +2 years working experience with Forklifts, pallet jack
    • Must be able to work in a physically demanding role which may involve long hours standing and bending, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials- use team lifting as required
    • Heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
    • Basic math skills
    • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Exposure & proficiency with Oracle, +2 years working experience hands on
    • Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow through on issues
    • Superior organizational skills
    • Team-oriented with a strong sense of urgency for deliverables
    • Flexible within a rapidly changing, dynamic work environment and available to on work weekends and/or company holidays as needed
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to interact with Bloom team as well as external vendors, carriers and service providers
    • Display positive energy and exceptional work-ethic
    • General understanding of the warehouse practices
    • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously

      $22.79 - $34.74
