Summary:This role is an important member of the Silk Road Medical HR team with responsibility for a range of activities supporting the benefits and compensation programs. The Benefits & Compensation Specialist assists in the administration of the company's benefits and compensation programs.
Responsbilities:Benefits Administration

• Submit bi-monthly 401(k), FSA and HSA payroll contributions to plan administrators.
• Assist with annual 401(k) 5500 audit.
• Assist with Leave of Absence management of using 3rd party leave administrator.
• Complete employer intake for disability claims.
• Review monthly consolidated benefits billing for accuracy.
• Coordinate communication of 2 annual fitness challenges via a mobile health app.
• Conduct quarterly benefit deduction audits.Compensation
  • Complete market data inquiries from HR Business Partners and provide applicable market pricing information to Sr Compensation Manager as needed.
  • Assist with job matching process to make certain that internal positions are matched to the appropriate external benchmark position.
  • Assist with salary survey participation to ensure proper positioning and market competitiveness of jobs.
  • Provide support with annual compensation planning process merit cycle which includes base pay, bonus, equity programs, system set up, budget analysis, post-cycle analysis and preparation of Total Reward Statements and other communication materials for managers.
  • Prepare monthly equity reports for approval. Other duties
    • Provide payroll assistance and backup.
    • Present at employee orientation program (Why We Do What We Do) benefits and compensation overviews.
      Requirements:
      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline/experience preferred.
      • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources; knowledge of benefit and/or compensation programs preferred.
      • Strong data analytics and MS Excel capabilities.
      • Knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
      • Working knowledge of ADP-WFN, preferred.
      • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and work with highly confidential information.
      • Effective oral and written communication with all levels of the organization with an emphasis on internal customer experience and team player.
      • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management.
        Actual compensation for this role depends on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience with the job, industry, and related education, etc. Silk Road Medical is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions in other states. The anticipated compensation range for candidates who will work in California is $77,440.00 - $96,800.00 per year. This position will also be eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan and earn equity in accordance with company policy. In addition, we offer robust and affordable benefits with modest employee contributions.
