This position is located in Sunnyvale, CA.The Budget Analyst has responsibility for all aspects of financial administration for the Marine Systems organization, with specific focus on development of both near term and long term Business Unit strategy and analysis. The position will provide financial oversight in the development and implementation of various projects and works closely with Business Managers and Directors.Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Evaluate processes across the Mission Systems sector with focus on standardization of best practices, processes, tools and proceduresFinancial data collection, consolidation, interpretation, and analysis in an effort to maintain affordability and promote the predictability of future trendsPreparing financial plans and assessing impacts from major program awards on facility utilization and future needsPreparing regular and special-purpose reportsAssessing impacts of organizational and operational changes to ensure impacts are properly evaluated and incorporated into budgets to ensure recoverabilityPresenting results of analysis for evaluation by Director level staffPreparing comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds and determining rationale for variances between costs and budgetThis requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or Senior Principal LevelBasic Qualifications for a Principal:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting plus 6 years related (refer to job description) work experience, or 4 years with a Master's Degree.PC skills, proficiency with financial systems and experience in the Business Management organization is required.Applicant must be a self-starter and work with minimal oversight.US Citizenship is required.Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal:Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting plus 10 years related (refer to job description) work experience, or 8 years with a Master's Degree.PC skills, proficiency with financial systems and experience in the Business Management organization is required.Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead major initiativesUS Citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications:Prior operations experience is a plus.Familiarity with SAP, internal financial budgeting systemsPrior rates and budgets experienceSalary Range: 76200 - 114400Salary Range 2: 94500 - 141700Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
