The Global Supply Chain Manager 2 - Supplier Management and Process Improvement, is responsible for leading the team to successful performance of key and critical suppliers, as well as building and maintaining vendor performance, proactive supplier management and Return to Green execution. Coordinates efforts to keep production moving to ensure programs meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives. We are looking for team players who bring solutions and can successfully coach and mentor others.

Leadership Responsibilities include:
Collaboration with functional organizations to effectively manage suppliers and provide internal and external KPI/metrics

Evaluating and coordinating the resolution of production problems related to engineering, manufacturing, design, quality, and materials

Conferring with Design, Quality, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain to provide and obtain technical solutions

Creates strategic value by understanding business processes and organizational interdependencies, analyzing wastes, and championing collaborative affordability and performance improvements

Engages management, employees and suppliers in using continuous improvement behaviors and systems to drive bottom line business results through optimized business practices and continual cost reductions

Defines improvement projects aligned with business strategies within Marine Systems, GSC, major organizational metrics, and our supply base

Training and Mentoring Supply Chain professionals

This position has frequent interactions with the Executive Leadership Team which provides excellent visibility and career growth opportunities.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree

9+ years of experience in supply chain, project management, business management or other related experience.

3+ years of team lead and/or people management

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project

Ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance

Travel: Ability to travel 25-50%, sometimes at short notice is required

Having excellent interpersonal communication and interface skills at all levels internally and externally is critical to success in this role. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail are a must.

Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Agile Project Management experience using Confluence and JIRA

Earned Value Management through Microsoft Project with Quantifiable Backup Data tracking

SAP experience

Naval and Marine industry experience

TPS Lean, Six Sigma, SCRUM, or Industrial Engineering certification

Salary Range: 116200 - 174200

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
