We have an opportunity for a highly motivated professional whose work will reflect Instron's commitment to total customer satisfaction. Working from home, preferably within Santa Clara County (ideal locations are Sunnyvale, Mountain View, or Milpitas), you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform a variety of services including verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation, on a wide range of Instron's materials testing products.

You will be provided with a company vehicle, appropriate tools/equipment, including a laptop computer, and the assurance that you have the support of well-established and growing service operation. Overnight travel of at least 50% is to be expected.

Qualifications

Successful applicants will have a technical AS degree or equivalent military/trade training with a strong proven background in servo hydraulics, as well as a minimum of two years' experience, planning and performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical systems. A broad based knowledge and familiarity with PC's including operating systems and Windows applications, is also essential.

In addition, you must be self-motivated, possess exceptional organizational and time management skills and due to the high level of customer interaction, possess strong interpersonal skills. A positive and customer focused attitude is also required.
