Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior DRG Medical Coder.
Key Responsibilities
Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Codes for inpatient services in a
hospital setting
Abstract additional data during the Chart Review process and
provide documentation feedback to providers
Maintain coding quality and productivity standards while
participating in department meetings and educational events
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or higher
Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (e.g.,
RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)
3+ years of acute care inpatient medical coding experience
2+ years of experience in a Level I trauma center or teaching
hospital
2+ years of ICD-10 (CM & PCS) and DRG coding experience
