As a Lead Design Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Yahoo's design systems, which include user interface (UI) components, style guides, and design patterns. You will work closely with cross-functional teams of designers, developers, and product managers to create a cohesive and scalable design system that enables Yahoo to deliver world-class user experiences across all our products and services.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of Yahoo's design systems, including UI components, style guides, and design patterns.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to ensure that the design system meets their needs and aligns with Yahoo's brand guidelines.
• Develop and maintain design system documentation, including guidelines, specifications, and usage examples.
• Manage the design system roadmap and prioritize feature development based on business needs, user feedback, and industry trends.
• Implement and maintain the design system infrastructure, including design tools, code libraries, and version control systems.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Yahoo's products and services to ensure that the design system meets their unique needs.
• Mentor junior design system engineers and promote a culture of design system excellence within the organization.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing design systems for large-scale web or mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically.
