Metro area. Join us!About the RoleThe facilities coordinator will perform and oversee all building maintenance, repair, and improvements at two Movement facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Additionally, the facilities coordinator will support the Bay Area facilities team as needed at our two other Bay Area locations. The position will work closely with the Bay Area Gym Directors and report directly to the Facilities Department Manager.What you'll be doing:Directly support two Movement facilities as the primary Facility CoordinatorPerform routine and as needed maintenance, repair, and improvement projectsManage and maintain an inventory of spare partsSupport and cultivate a safe, clean, and pleasant gym environmentManage your personal workflowReview task lists for designated gyms using Asana project management softwareMeet with Lead Facilities Coordinator to prioritize and schedule tasksEnsure efficient progress across gymsMaintain positive working relationships with property owners or management companiesCommunicate project scope and timelinesMaintain compliance with lease obligationsSupport the Facilities Team with larger maintenance and improvement projectsAssist the Lead Facilities Coordinator in defining project scope and processWork alongside vendors as needed to complete tasksCoordinate with other gym departmentsTrain and oversee Ops team members to assist with facilities tasks as neededWhat success looks like:Complete projects safely, efficiently, and with a forward-thinking mindsetEnsure communication on task and project status is clear and succinctSupport a culture that is collegial and tracks the company's values and goalsWhat you'll bring with youGotta have:A broad experience in facility maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and finish workA basic understanding of building assemblies and building systemsA basic understanding of climbing wall structuresExcellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skillsA strong self-starting work ethic and attention to detailReliable personal transportation and valid Driver's LicenseComfortable working at height - ladder and rope accessAbility to lift 50 lbs.Bonus points for:Ability to read and interpret building plans and technical drawingsExperience maintaining rock climbing walls and climbing safety equipmentTechnical expertise in one or more building trade (1+ years of work experience)A college degree in management or a construction/engineering/design related disciplineWork at heights or other relevant certificationWe believe that a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences make our team stronger.
