This role functions as a satellite factory, Systems Engineer overseeing mission operation projects that contribute to the day to day activities of satellite constellation and maintenance and health. As a Systems Engineer Associate, you will:--- Learn GEO space vehicle operations from factory integration and test until decommission--- Be responsible for the daily state of health and operability of the constellation--- Work closely with and rely on the technical analysts, Certified Principle Engineers (CPE) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to understand and resolve issues --- Support all pre-launch readiness rehearsals and launch and early orbit test support--- Apply what you learned to support satellite day in the life (DITL) testing--- Document operational processes, findings, and resolutions--- Identify requirements and supporting execution of vehicle flight objectives--- Identify and implement changes to improve performance--- Develop tools and techniques to perform analysis--- Be a team player and be willing to be on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, as required.--- Work overtime and weekends when necessary to support mission goals--- Travel when required (Less than 10%)To promote the sharing of ideas, LockheedMartin cultivates an inclusive work environment that inspires differences and big-picturethinking.Our employees play an active role instrengthening the quality of life where we liveand work by volunteering more than 850,000hours annually.
