Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join
our team as a Final Assembly Supervisor 1 based out of our
Sunnyvale, CA campus.
What You'll get to Do:
Northrop Grumman Marines Systems specializes in the development,
manufacture assembly and testing of propulsion, and power
generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines. The
Final Assembly Supervisor 1 will supervise the factory hourly
assembly mechanics, electricians and production support team in the
assembly, test and shipment of high quality, low volume, large
electro-mechanical fabricated structures with complex controls for
the Marine Propulsion and Power Generation SBU. This position will
also interface with Sr. Operations Leadership, a variety of
engineering disciplines, and end customers for the products their
team produces and delivers.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring all members of the
team are adequately trained to accomplish assigned tasked
efficiently and effectively and will lead the implementation of
Lean Principles and Continuous improvement efforts in their
assigned areas.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience;
Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; PhD with 0 years of
experience (Note: 9 total years of relevant experience may be
considered in lieu of a degree).
Leadership experience in an operations environment.
Strong leadership skills including coaching and mentoring, conflict
resolution, team development and employee engagement.
Ability to support multiple production shifts is required (first,
second, third shifts, and weekends) based on the assignment and
current and future production schedules.
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret
clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Firm understanding of the fundamentals of MRP.
Demonstrated EVMS experience and be proficient at CAM
functions.
Government contracting and fixed price production experience.
BA/BS degree.
US Naval experience in the operation or maintenance of Marine
Machinery.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
Demonstrated Manufacturing Operations management experience
managing critical production hardware (SQCDM).
Salary Range: $89,800 USD - $134,800 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
