Job Description:

Fortinet is currently looking for a talented individual to join ourFortiSIEM Engineering team to assist in the development of data sciencealgorithms in a cyber security context. As a member of the Engineeringteam, you will be responsible for developing machine learning algorithms,tuning them in customer environments, scaling them in Big Data platformsand working with the FortiSIEM Engineering team to deliver them to themarket place. The successful candidate will have a strong mathematicalbackground to understand various algorithms implementation experience tomake the algorithms work in practice. The candidate must also be aware ofrecent developments in the field. Responsibilities

• Work closely with FortiSIEM CTO and product management to gather
• requirements
• Design machine learning algorithms for various use cases
• Tune the algorithms with customer data
• Scale the algorithms on a big data platforms
• Integrate with FortiSIEM architecture Requirements
  • Master -s degree with 2+ years of industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge on machine learning problems - unsupervised,
  • supervised, deep learning and associative data mining - both academic and
  • practical large scale implementation aspects
  • Experience with machine learning libraries (Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Numpy, Matlab,
  • Weka, Mahout etc) and big data platforms (Elastic Search, HDFS, MapReduce,
  • Hive, Mahout)
  • Ability to take ideas from academic publications and rapidly prototype
  • within the FortiSIEM development framework
  • Ability to model customer driven real world problems into a machine
  • learning framework and come up with good solutions
  • Hands on proficiency in implementing algorithms in Java and Python
  • Experience in applying machine learning algorithms for cyber security
  • problems (desired)
  • Experience with RDMS and SQL (desired)
  • Experience architecting systems following the REST architectural style

  • High-level knowledge on the Spark eco-system (desired)
