Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of Tactical/Operational execution experience in Executive/Dignitary protection
  • 8 years of experience in Executive/Dignitary Protection program and team management
  • LEOSA qualified, able to pass pre-employment/unscheduled drug testing during employment

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or graduate degree in a management, security, or technical field
  • Experience identifying opportunities for program and process improvements, ability to structure analysis and synthesize data into useful formats to bring actionable insights/scale initiatives.
  • Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, with impeccable business judgment and experience leading complex strategic initiatives
  • Foundational knowledge of private sector security compliance related to IRS, SEC and US Treasury law
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work independently across multiple functions to drive alignment and deliverables

About the job

As the Personal Security Lead, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic vision for the entire Executive Protection Portfolio. You will manage clients/customers, program growth, and scaling programs globally. You are serious about personal security, teamwork, and have a strong commitment to confidentiality. In this role, you will exercise excellent judgment and the ability to quickly solve problems in a logical and thoughtful manner. You are able to work independently and/or as a part of a team. You'll provide skilled leadership and have executive presence. You will use data, analytical and influencing skills to guide and form decisions to carry out the safety and security mission of the Leadership Support Team. You excel at developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and partners within the security space and across other product areas and Google functions.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google's Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.


  • Refine, innovate, and adapt iterations for a corporate personal security program. Partner with Operations Lead and Aviation Lead to plan, coordinate, and manage security resources supporting designated portfolios of clients.
  • Enhance operational aspects of programs, including: quality control; compliance; communication systems; technological innovation; logistics and transportation; asset tracking; training; intelligence products; metrics; and support accountability.
  • Lead team performance: provide mentorship, coaching and career development; create programmatic alignment, and enhance individual accountability.
  • Act as a liaison to executives and stakeholders regarding: increased-risk exposure; program compliance; travel; and event attendance.
  • Own program compliance, budget management; audits assessments, identify deficiencies/areas of improvement, and optimize efficiency.
