Verizon Media is seeking an energetic, passionate, and entrepreneurial leader of its Data and Analytics products and platforms. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working collaboratively, across teams & timezones, and helping us define our data culture. Verizon Media has one of the industry's most advanced data technology stacks that power our many businesses. These platforms need to continue their evolution and scale to support future opportunities, 5G being one of them.

Your Charter

  • Lead and Guide the team responsible for the underlying technology and visualizations that power the Digital Analytics for VMG

  • Define and be a visionary for the data and analytics capabilities that extend horizontally across all our businesses.

  • Lead integrated requirements and build of a system of record for our analytics including the VMG solutions, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Data Visualization implementations.

  • With constantly evolving Ad, Consumer and Commerce solutions, ensure all properties are properly tracked and reporting is reliable, easy to comprehend, and supports stakeholders who rely on our data consistency.

  • Work collaboratively with our supported business lines (i.e. Yahoo Mail, TechCrunch, Ads, Search, etc) to ensure our data and analytics objectives and roadmaps are aligned to support their roadmaps and growth pillars.

  • Manage all phases of development and delivery, including concept, testing, and launch, serving as the main point of contact across the operations and technical teams.

  • Deliver an ambitious but achievable product roadmap with weekly, monthly, and quarterly milestones; hold teams and partners accountable for timely execution.

  • Aggressively execute against product delivery via strong technical acumen, operational rigor, and a relentless drive to powering our businesses.

  • Drive for continued process improvement by building strong relationships across the businesses and corporate functions.

  • Optimize the analytics solution design to account for new and evolving variables.

  • Working with cross-functional partners to pool data from various sources to enable stories to be told using data.

  • Build visualizations of disparate data sets via data visualization software.

  • Identify analytics software that builds on the team's capabilities and drives for greater understanding of performance.

  • Perform quality control of tagging and analytics implementation across platforms.

  • Recruit, lead, inspire and engage a high-performing team, fostering a dynamic of collaboration, growth, risk-taking, and professional development.

  • Develop the next generation of Product leaders.

  • Serve as an industry thought leader and represent Verizon Media and its portfolio of brands at industry events.

  • Work with the Business Development teams to identify means of monetization of our core products.

  • Be a key influencer of the company's culture.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 10+ years of hands on product development and product management experience, building scaled data and analytics platforms and products to support high growth enterprises.

  • 5+ years experience leading data product teams.

  • Management by numbers with demonstrable abilities in data-driven decision making.

  • Action-oriented mindset with a proven track record of delivering quick wins and driving growth while refining and translating a long-term vision.

  • Value in building trusting relationships with a range of leaders, teams, and stakeholders.

  • Technical credibility and the ability to "do" not "say" when it comes to bringing new products and services to market in agile development environments.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit that seeks to try new approaches and lead conversation changing initiatives that influence internal stakeholders and customers alike.
