About the Position:

The Technical Training Enablement Lead plays a leadership role to ensure technical training and enablement needs for Juniper Global Services and Juniper partners are proactively developed, delivered, and tracked.

The person in this role will join an existing team within the Juniper University Education Services department. This is an individual contributor role that requires strong technical acumen, keen attention to detail, stakeholder management and ability to understand key drivers for post-sales customer success. This person will be able to seek out and develop key relationships within the company and will have an aptitude for resolving subjects/topics that are of importance to the audience.

In this role, you will architect and drive technical services enablement activities including the development of new hire technical onboarding and ongoing technical upskilling on all Juniper products and solutions. This includes thoughtful inclusion of training on 3rd party technology stacks in the context of DevOps/NetOps, CI/CD, automation, AI/ML, containers, and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will also have responsibility related to the orchestration and utilization of Juniper Networks enablement tools, platforms, and labs.

Responsibilities:

Working cross-functionally with Services and Partner leadership you will:

  • Develop holistic view of technical services/partner team goals and requirements, then determine services enablement requirements and programs to support
  • Identify stakeholders and SMEs for content development and review; coordinate and lead stakeholder review and input cycles, and drive instructional design requirements
  • Identify actionable initiatives and metrics
  • Develop and deliver scalable enablement plans
  • Collaborate with the Services and partner leadership/management teams to prioritize enablement activities by role
  • Drive consumption/utilization of training and implement metrics to measure training programs and impact, and continuously evaluate knowledge transfer and learning needs.
  • Communicate training plans and status - including training milestones, requirements, deliverables, risks/dependencies, updates, and roadmap information

In coordination with other Juniper University Education Services colleagues, you will:

  • Create metrics communication slides for regular business reviews/engagement with Business Unit representatives
  • Collect and synthesize feedback for input to course development team to implement best practices for learning innovation and improvement for future iterations of training products/learning paths.
  • Using adult learning best practices and principles, drive development of new courses, leverage existing enablement materials, and delivery of same
  • Inventory the existing enablement content to determine opportunities to improve and ensure content is current and relevant
  • Support course development and delivery teams in lab resourcing, removing constraints, and course evaluation and rollout
  • Explore ways to optimize the enablement experience with a good understanding of the existing technical stack and provide input to future innovations in automation and delivery

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Technical education and courseware development experience (or comparable experience in an industry related to internetworking, automation, or virtualization).
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a network, DevOps, or NetOps environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively with all levels of employees; experience in developing and successfully implementing stakeholder engagement plans
  • Proven ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments, and prepare responses/narrative quickly and clearly
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication ability in English.
  • Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with the Junos OS and Contrail Networking, as well as a solid understanding of the concepts of IP networking.
  • Familiarity with SDN and virtual networking appliances/software
  • Familiarity with cloud-native networking as well as automation, telemetry, and overlay and underlay solutions (including EVPN/VXLAN)
  • Familiarity with network disaggregation concepts
  • Experience in open-source containers like OpenShift, Kubernetes, and/or Docker.
  • Experience working with public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Other Information:

  • Relocation is not available for this position; remote working is possible.
  • Travel requirements for the position 10%
