The Business Analysis Manager will drive process and technology solutions supporting product delivery and create effective operations tools at Equinix data centers globally. Global Ops Enablement sits at the critical intersection of our Customers and Operations - ensuring we can support our best-in-class services within our business.

In this role, you will work on automating and streamlining the delivery of Datacenter and Infrastructure Services, Colocation Products, and Interconnection Delivery. Working closely with our regional Operations teams, you will be establishing standards, processes, and policies for improving our service to customers. The role will also entail defining global requirements, design & analyze solutions and manage projects from inception to completion. To do this successfully, you will work closely with data center Operations personnel, SMEs, Product Managers, and other cross-functional teams to understand and refine business needs and IT development requirements. The role is centered around our core interconnection & colocation services and will leverage Lean Product development methodologies.


Business Systems

  • Drive changes across all data centers worldwide to achieve consistent business system solutions

  • Brings in best practices by keeping up-to-date with technology and vendor products

  • Provide recommendations for improvement based on research, including new tools, technology trends, and streamlined processes

  • Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements for defined-scope enhancements

  • Perform impact analysis of the current business process, understand best practices, define future state business process, identify gaps, plan to achieve future state & execute the road map

  • Interface with IT - Understand the usable set of systems solutions, help translate the business requirement to functional requirements & help develop application architecture

  • Manage Change Management, including reviewing functional requirements, coordinating system user acceptance testing & facilitate development of user training document

Networking and Interconnection

  • Provide process and system leadership to a geographically diverse team of technicians and engineers who install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiber and networking interconnection and infrastructure

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems

  • Recommends alterations to design, development, implementation, and analysis to improve quality of products, technologies, and/or procedures

  • Identifies and catalogs global technical specifications, process, policies, and standards across all Equinix disciplines

Project Management

  • Creates and coordinates smaller project plans and resources, executing them using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Ensures resources are in the right place at the right time

  • Works with stakeholders to gain alignment through implementation and post-implementation stages

  • Communicates progress

  • Creates scope, project charter and stakeholder analysis

  • Identify project risks, provide visibility & help mitigate risk factors

Stakeholder Management

  • Manages stakeholder expectations within and/or across functions

  • Identify project risks, provide visibility & help mitigate risk factors

  • Escalates to resolve complex stakeholder issues

  • Drives & manages business system changes with cross-functional & global teams to ensure alignment with strategic vision

Cost/Benefit Analysis and Monitoring

  • Analyzes pre and post implementation results and proposes recommendations for improvement

Coaching and Mentoring

  • Provides necessary feedback, guidance and/or advice to junior team members and internal staff


  • A Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' experience in a related technical field combined with experience preferred

  • Relevant process and system automation development experience - analysis, design, through implementation

  • Technical experience with complex order process and/or workflow systems

  • Proven experience in complex physical environments, data centers, or similar architectures

  • Experience with structured cabling standards is highly desirable: ETSI, TIA, EIA, ITU

  • Telecommunications experience with computer networks a plus: LAN, MAN, WAN

  • Experience with Network devices a plus: routers, switches and gateways

  • Ability to participate and drive changes in multiple cross-functional projects involving regional challenges as required by the business

  • The ability to define, analyze and report on business metrics

  • Strong analytical skills in analyzing complex problems, processes, and systems to propose solutions

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and drive delivery and execution

  • Must live within 50 miles of an Equinix site
