What you'll do...

Position: Senior Manager I, Software Engineering

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Help invent the next generation of eCommerce integrated experiences that leverage the store and website. Develop payment products for the next generation of challenges, including very high capacity, guaranteed availability, and mass market usability without compromising on quality. Participate in the design and creation of the Global Payments Service, providing holistic global support for credit cards, gift cards, checks, electronic funds transfer, COD, offline bank transfer, bill-me-later, subscription billing, and mobile payments. Build n-tier applications using RESTful Services, Java, J2EE, Oracle, and related technologies. Monitor code and configurations for multiple environments and release management process. Engage in creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls and code integrity. Analyze business requirements, storyboards, and similar artifacts of the scrum process. Work in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds. Drive the discovery phase of medium to large projects to develop high level design. Work with small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned engineering projects. Troubleshoot business and production issues. Ensure inclusion of business vision and industry trends to enable results that drive business. Engage in problem solving, troubleshooting design and development issues, and providing appropriate solutions. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams. Provide support to junior engineers. This position supervises 6 employees (3 Software Engineer IIIs; 2 Sr. Software Engineers; and 1 Staff Software Engineer).

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or related field and 3 years of experience building web based Java services and applications; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or related field and 6 years of experience building web based Java services and applications.

Skills required: Experience with Java Programming platform. Demonstrated knowledge of the following Web technologies and frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, Apache CXF, Apache Camel, and Springboot. Experience building RESTful API services, taking into account scalability and performance. Experience with the following Messaging Technologies: JMS and Kafka. Demonstrated knowledge of the following Relational Database systems: Oracle and Object modeling. Experience working with Distributed version control system Git and continuous integration tools Jenkins and Maven. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
