Our radiation therapy for cancer makes treatment shorter, safer, personalized and more effective, ultimately enabling patients to live longer, better lives.Job DescriptionAccuray is currently looking for a Corporate Counsel to become a member of our dynamic legal team and to be on the forefront of growing our company. This position can be based in either Sunnyvale, CA or Madison, WI.Main areas of responsibility will involve negotiating and drafting contracts in collaboration with Accuray's Sales and Sales Operations departments and other functional business units, supporting compliance requirements, regular review and update of corporate policies and procedures, and development and delivery of training for global stakeholders.As a Corporate Counsel in Accuray's Legal department, you will be responsible for:Drafting and negotiating purchase, service, distributor, sales agent and other sales related agreements;Drafting and negotiating other agreements, including NDAs, consulting agreements, technology development agreements, and supplier/vendor agreements, as needed;Maintaining and updating corporate policies and procedures;Ensuring contracts comply with all relevant policies and procedures;Managing development and updates to templates and to playbook resources to document best practices;Liaising with outside counsel to support other matters such as employment matters, litigation and other specialty topics;General corporate legal compliance and corporate governance matters.Qualifications:BA/BS and JD required.California State Bar or Wisconsin State Bar preferred.2-5 years of experience in-house, law firm or mix.Experience with drafting and negotiating contracts.Experience in any or all of the following subject matters a plus (but not required):Technology transactionsData privacyPublic company reportingHealthcare fraud and abuse complianceMust possess professional maturity to take ownership of various assignments with limited supervision to achieve results.Exceptional attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills; advanced PC skills required with expertise in MS Word, Excel, and proficiency in PowerPoint.
