Verizon Media is seeking an energetic, passionate, and entrepreneurial leader of its Commerce product and platform. Verizon Media is engineering a set of comprehensive and innovative commerce experiences to monetize the brand power of the world's best companies through connected consumer journeys. This product lead will be responsible for creating industry-leading commerce revenue streams that bridge our end consumers with our business customers. This will require optimizing the existing tech stack while launching and executing against a cohesive vision for Commerce at Verizon Media, with scale.

Your Charter

  • Bring a commerce-first point of view to establish a product strategy and product-specific visions that will monetize existing consumer journeys and build new revenue streams

  • Inform, develop, and execute a differentiated and comprehensive product vision and strategy for Commerce at Verizon Media that grows GMV, ensures recurrent buying among our customers, and optimizes transaction conversion rate at all touchpoints

  • Work with the sales and business development team and consumer brand leaders to identify new means of monetization and overall product and process improvements

  • Synthesize and streamline Verizon Media's consumer-to-commerce journeys to capitalize on the company's unique data, ad serving technologies, publisher tools, ad inventory, and consumer/mobile data

  • Manage all phases of product development and delivery, including concept, testing, and launch, serving as the main point of contact across Commerce marketing, operations and technical teams

  • Work cross-functionally with executive leadership to assess market opportunities and launch product releases that further company priorities

  • Deliver an ambitious but achievable product roadmap with weekly, monthly, and quarterly milestones; hold teams and partners accountable for timely execution

  • Deliver product via strong technical acumen, operational rigor, and a relentless drive for returns on customer engagement

  • Build unique, powerful, and trusted Commerce experiences that are delivered to consumers when, where, and how they like it, on and off-network

  • Drive for continued process improvement by building strong relationships across the brands and corporate functions

  • Recruit, lead, inspire and engage a diverse, high-performing team, fostering a dynamic of collaboration, growth, risk-taking, and professional development

  • Develop the next generation of Product leaders

  • Serve as an industry thought leader and represent Verizon Media and its portfolio of brands at industry events

  • Be a key influencer of the company's culture as it relates to bringing an action-oriented, accountability-focused, results-obsessed, Commerce-first mindset

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 10+ years of hands on product development and product management experience, building scaled, consumer-facing products in high growth enterprises

  • 5+ years of delivering revenue-generating digital retail products and leading commerce-focused product management teams

  • An owner's mentality when it comes to being an evangelist for your product vision and working cross-functionally to ensure its delivery and success

  • Management by numbers with demonstrable abilities in data-driven decision making

  • Action-oriented mindset with a proven track record of delivering quick wins and driving growth while refining and translating a long-term vision

  • Value in building trusting relationships with a range of leaders, teams, and stakeholders

  • Technical credibility and the ability to "do" not "say" when it comes to bringing new products and services to market in agile development environments

  • An open mind that seeks to try never-been-done approaches and lead conversation-changing initiatives that influence internal stakeholders and customers alike

  • Driven to succeed; agile, with a high comfort level with ambiguity and fluidity, and the ability to make decisions in a rapidly changing environment while achieving quality results

  • Exceptional analytical, strategic and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to effectively lead critical conversations / presentations and build efficacy amongst Senior / Executive team stakeholders
