The Role

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Business Analytics, and will work to encourage and enable positive business outcomes across the organization by driving behaviors and decisions through statistical insights. The role requires an execution-focused person that can quickly become familiar with our SAAS business, associated metrics and is able to support business decisions through advanced analytics coupled with sound business judgment. You will play an integral role in the strategic decision-making of the business and should be passionate about the creation, management, and translation of advanced analytics to help answer key operational questions.

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst, Business Analytics with exceptional advanced analytics skills coupled with a broad, strategic view of business performance metrics and processes. The team itself is tasked with solving the most pressing strategic and operational issues across the company and driving thoughtful and timely insights to the company's executive team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work across multiple business units (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, etc.) to identify, define, scope, solve, and implement scale-able solutions to complex business problems.

Your day-to-day

• Build and deliver analytical models in alignment with the strategic roadmap

• Apply advanced analytics concepts towards rich and bold insights

• Act as an evangelist and catalyst for analytics innovation

• Engage broadly with business teams to frame, structure, and prioritize business problems where insights can have the biggest impact

• Partner on a robust, sustainable cloud-first data architecture, data lake, data mart and other assorted reporting/distribution services with the data engineering teams

• Work independently and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

What you bring to the team

• Masters in Statistics/Econometrics/Business Analytics or related discipline is preferable, but a candidate with a bachelors combined with strong analytical background in problems relating to analytics is also acceptable

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts

• Experience with basic probability distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, classification, clustering, data preparation, feature engineering, feature selection, time series & model interpretation

• SQL experience working with RDBMS for data extraction and data read/write

• Hands-on R/Python experience in using different Statistics/ML libraries available

• Experience in one or more Data Visualization tools (MS Power BI, Tableau etc.) preferred
