focus to the business.. The Role. We are looking for an outstanding
IT Director with extensive Help Desk and leadership experience. In
this role, you will lead our journey of providing world class
service, where we put customer service first for all our employees.
You will be leading a global team and report to the VP, Information
Technology & Operations. This individual will oversee a global
multi-site Help Desk support organization.. Partner and collaborate
with other leaders to identify and implement new tools to increase
automation, provide data that will help us to scale. Lead a direct
and indirect team across Proofpoint’s global presence. Create
strategic and comprehensive processes to improve and drive
outstanding customer service. Lead the transformation from reactive
to proactive/predictive. Establish core metrics for the Help Desk
function. Develop a robust global 24x7 Help Desk model. Participate
as part of the broader Operations leadership team to develop the
organization’s skills as a whole. Assess employee performance
frequently; address underperformance, and recognize and promote the
strongest. Partner with our global recruiting staff to expand and
strengthen the team, including sourcing and interviewing
candidates, participating in conferences/events, and on-boarding
new hires. What you bring to the team. 8+ years of directly
managing an IT organization. Exceptional verbal and written
communication skills and executive presence. Strong customer focus
with experience building and scaling a world class automated Help
Desk function. Ability to proactively identify and resolve
technical, process, organizational, and resourcing challenges
without frequent escalation or assistance. Extensive experience in
hiring and managing a diverse and inclusive team environment with a
commitment to collaboration and team building. Technical depth in
managing various end user platforms (Windows, Macs, Unix).
Experience with industry-standard operational practices such as
change management, incident management, problem management, and
vendor management. Experience working in a high-growth environment.
