The Optical Payload Center of Excellence (OPCoE) Program
Execution Director reports to the Director of OPCoE and is
responsible for driving program execution to meet contractual
The Execution Director must be highly experienced in integrating
space hardware and software subsystems into deliverable systems,
have a thorough understanding of the LM Space processes and tools
for developing high reliability space hardware, and possess
outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to motivate
multi-disciplined teams across the Corporation and teammate
companies to achieve Program objectives.
This position is responsible for the successful execution of all
OPCoE programs which includes those programs being executed solely
within OPCoE as well as in support of and in coordination with our
Lines of Business (LOB’s).
In this dynamic role you will:
• Provide oversight of and leadership, mentoring, and support to
OPCoE Program managers and teams to ensure their successful cost,
schedule, and technical execution.
• Ensure all OPCoE programs are staffed appropriately, have
clear and concise baselines, have clear risk management approaches
and processes, adhere to all applicable Common Integrated Process
Systems (CIPS), follow clear and efficient failure investigation
processes, and perform at a high level and at a high level of
accuracy in Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance
Index (SPI) throughout the duration of each program.
• Identify and develop OPCoE and Engineering and Technology
(E&T) CoE processes and procedures aimed at improving the
efficiency of execution and reducing the cost and schedule
associated with program execution.
• Partner with OPCoE program leads, CoE functional leads, the
leadership of other E&T organizations, LOBs, Operations, and
Finance and Business Operations to identify inefficient enterprise
processes which are in turn causing inefficiencies in program
• Once identified, work with those organizations to drive
improvement in those areas and resolve the inefficiencies.
• Actively and directly interact with program customers, LOB
leadership, and Executive Leadership to ensure proper coordination,
scheduling, and communication in setting program baselines, working
failure investigations, and all other elements necessary to ensure
our customers have a transparent and positive experience in all
interactions and situations.

• Technical Degree in Engineering or equivalent required +
• Demonstrated success in program management, subcontract
management, and/or Technical management for Optical or
Electro-Optical Payload programs with proven ability to manage
budgetary responsibility >$100M+
• Experience in Optical or Electro-Optical space flight program
development and execution.
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Proven customer relations experience
• Active TS/SCI and SAP clearances

hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
