The Role
As a Senior Technical Product Manager within Proofpoint, you are
the ultimate owner of the product portfolio you manage and the
person responsible for driving the success of your product through
research, development, market positioning, and customer
evangelization. Our team seeks a Senior Product Manager with a
passion for developing creative solutions that solve customer
problems in the email authentication & digital risk space. You will
work with our talented engineering team within our business unit,
supported by partner engineering groups across the company, to
advance our industry-leading product: Email Fraud Defense (EFD), a
high visibility/high growth product (with a 90-point Net Promoter
Score in Proofpoint's award-winning security products portfolio)
which helps customers manage their email traffic by ensuring proper
visibility to email authentication and deliverability problems. EFD
is an industry-leading product, used by over 400 of the Fortune
1000 companies today.

Your day-to-day
- Focus on defining & executing the product roadmap for
Proofpoint's cloud-based Email Fraud Defense product:
o Work directly with key Proofpoint customers and internal
stakeholders to develop, prioritize & refine product
requirements
o Represent your product's strategic direction both internally and
with customers
- Evaluate market, competitive, and pricing trends, working with
marketing and field sales to refine go to market strategy and
materials
- Provide clarity and implementation guidance to roadmap feature
areas with development and quality assurance teams
- Work closely with our passionate sales overlay team to understand
and internalize customer feedback & objections
- Partner with our professional services team who supports our
solutions, ensuring their needs are accounted for within roadmap
plans.
- Develop training on new capabilities & changes to both internal
and external stakeholders
- Maintain competitive intelligence for use within the
organization
- Present EFDs value & benefits to customers, partners, and
internal stakeholders
What you bring to the team
- Demonstrated experience launching and managing SaaS-based
products, features, or services
- Expert knowledge of email and email authentication protocols,
including SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, ARC, and BIMI, as well as Domain
Name Service (DNS).
- Knowledge of WHOIS, domain reputation, PKI, and Internet security
concepts
- Experience coordinating with internal support and field teams,
partners, and customers to validate solution direction and
functionality
- Successful track record working with field pre-sales and
engineering teams to define or deliver coherent solutions that
provide strong customer value
- Prior involvement with security-related application and/or cloud
software development
- Strong written skills; experience creating field-facing
documentation and presentation materials
- Minimum 5 years product management experience
- MBA or relevant PM work history
- Fluent in English, valid passport with ability to travel to
domestic and international destinations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S.
geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined
markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and
depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The
actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range
provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the
full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be
eligible for variable pay and/or equity. We offer a competitive
benefits package that includes flexible time off, a robust

Base Pay Ranges:
SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:
Base Pay Range: 153,075.00 - 224,510.00 USD
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois,
Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas,
Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:
Base Pay Range: 125,250.00 - 183,700.00 USD
All other cities and states excluding those listed above:
Base Pay Range: 114,150.00 - 167,420.00 USD
