Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 15 years of professional experience in engineering and technical innovation.
  
• Experience in networking, data network architectures, software architecture, or distributed systems.
  
• Experience in research, design, or operation of systems.
  Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science.
    
  • Experience providing technical structure to teams, and working closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.
    
  • Experience motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
    
  • Experience as a technical leader and in influencing multiple teams of engineers concurrently while partnering on broad development initiatives.
    
  • Ability to take an entrepreneurial and strategic approach.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     • Work with teams to deliver platforms on which networking and cloud features can be delivered to customers and define/set the overall technical strategy and roadmap for the identified network functions.
    • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team organization.
    • Engage in research collaboration with academic and industry groups and drive innovations for Google networking.
