  • Does working in a multidisciplinary, systems-oriented design team sound exciting? Your Role: You'll be joining the team responsible for developing several generations of our flagship product, the daVinci Xi, to develop new surgical robotic systems. You'll have the opportunity and responsibility to own development of your features, end to end. From concept to cross functional requirements gathering, to implementation, test and verification, success is in your hands. • Coordinate and control distributed embedded hardware resources to enable reliable retention of critical business data.
      • Apply systems thinking to the embedded fault reaction model to handle and recover from localized and systemwide fault events
      • Design and develop product-focused, rock-solid, C++ software in a heterogeneous, multi-processor SoC/FPGA/real-time-embedded environment
      • Work on a cross-functional team to develop technical specifications and evaluate design trade-offs
      • Perform formal risk analysis, develop software mitigations, run V&V and participate in design transfer to manufacturing activities. Qualifications Required Expertise :
        • A natural communicator with high attention to detail
        • Possess a commitment to the highest product quality
        • Passionate about developing cross-platform, object-oriented C++ code

        • Experience working on product-focused designs in a team environment
        • Minimum 3 years industry experience developing and supporting embedded systems
        • Bachelors or Masters' degree in Software/Computer Engineering
        • Experience with designing software products in an FDA or other regulated industry or for mission critical applications; comfort with concepts of design input, design output, traceability, and risk analysis, and mitigations Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
