Job Description: The 3D Sensing Characterization & Calibration
team applies a range of hardware/software and computer vision
techniques to characterize Client sensing systems to enable new
experiences in Meta Reality Lab. Our team is seeking a talented
Characterization Engineer with sensing hardware/software
expertises, strong data analysis skills and hands-on experiences to
solve challenging problems in testing, calibration and
characterization for depth sensors, cameras and laser
Design, build and maintain the hardware setup and the software
pipeline for depth sensors characterization
Develop and build software automation tools for image, computer
vision and data analytics problems
Collect, process, and analyze camera images and 3D depth data for a
variety of imaging and depth sensors
Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of
automation and data acquisition system
Document the characterization process
3+ years' experience developing and building camera or sensor test
setup and program
Hands-on experience of data acquisition and the data processing for
cameras or depth sensors
Proficient Programming with Matlab, Python, C++
Knowledge of handling optical sensors, light sources, including
lasers and LEDs, and lab equipments
Hands-on experiences of designing and testing image sensors, depth
sensors and laser/LED projectors for consumer electronics
Experience with the testing setup and algorithm/SW on imaging
sensor, camera and depth sensors
Experience with 3D vision, 3D geometry and 3D point clouds
Experience of statistic data analysis and report
2+ years' experience developing software in Matlab, Python and C++,
including algorithm design and systems software development
BS or above degree in Optics, Computer Science, Imaging Science,
Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related technical fields
Comments for Suppliers: Interview process: 1st interview is a
screen with manager or team member. 2nd interview is a panel
interview with manager and team member.
Preferably with optics and sensor testing experiences
day to day: sensor tests in the lab, 3d sensing depth sensing,
sensors will move robot arms around the room and take pictures of
certain settings in the room.
must be able to program the robot and be able to set up the sensors
and AR/VR sets. Hardware and software required in the robotics.
Software needs to be have interface built.
