Job Description:

A company is looking for a Remote Patient Access Specialist - Verification of Insurance & Patient Authorizations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform complete and accurate registration and eligibility functions to maximize reimbursement and provide timely information to all end users of patient data
Verify insurance requirements, obtain and understand insurance benefits, and collect non-covered fees over the telephone
Ensure financial protocols are met, minimize third-party payer denials by obtaining prior authorization of service, and maintain registration accuracy

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
3 years of prior experience in a medical office or medical customer service work experience using multiple websites
2 years of recent work experience handling medical insurance patient access verification of insurance eligibility, prior authorizations, and referral authorizations
1 year of medical claims Accounts Receivable experience
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel
