Location: Sunnyvale, CA
The Quality Control Inspector III works with Quality, Operations,
Engineering and Supply Chain to facilitate the inspection and
testing of components, assemblies and products to ensure they meet
established specifications and requirements.
Inspection - Has a substantial understanding of the QC Inspection
process. Performs inspections of components, assemblies and devices
per applicable drawings and specifications; maintains accurate and
up to date records of all materials. These activities may be
conducted on incoming, in-process and returned materials. Carefully
reviews and checks the accuracy of own and others' work. Works on
assignments of moderate difficulty, applies knowledge and skills to
complete tasks and uses judgement in resolving issues.
Product Testing Support - Provides input and support for product
testing throughout the lifetime of the product (prototypes,
DV&V, post-production, etc.).
Nonconforming Product Action - Participates in initiation and
execution of nonconforming product actions. Communicates with
Engineers, Supply Chain and other staff to resolve inspection
Quality Systems - Supports the ISO, EN, and MDD certification
processes and compliance to FDA regulations by ensuring compliance
to all applicable policies, procedures and guidance
documents while performing assigned tasks and duties. Performs
other duties as assigned.
Safety: Contributes to a safe work environment by meeting company
safety policies and all regulatory requirements.
Documents: Updates inspection and test procedures, creates
inspections plan, provides redlines to engineering for drawings,
High School diploma required: AA, BA, BS degree in a technical
field preferred or comparable experience.
5+ years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector in medical
Experience with incoming, in process, finished goods inspection and
Ability to use basic hand measurements tools (caliper, snap gauge,
micrometer, pin gauge, etc.).
Experience using ERP software, preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience reading and interpreting drawings and
Experience updating procedures, documents and inspection plans.
Experience with Micro Vu and Tensile testing preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to recognize and assess deviations from standard
Self-starter, requiring minimal instruction and supervision
