We are looking for a Vice President, User Experience. The Vice President, Product User Experience will define, drive and deliver a UX strategy that removes complexity and delivers the utility and ease-of-use that our SaaS customers need to get their jobs done. Our goal is to revolutionize and modernize the Company User Experience so that we deliver the same world class user experience to our customers as we do with our technology. We are looking for a world class UX leader to help make that happen.
This position will drive the Company initiatives to transform our portfolio of cloud native SaaS Data Protection products by defining key user needs and implementing user-centered design, and offers great opportunities for Executive Leadership. The role will drive promoting individual creativity and innovation as well as the benefits of a diverse, supportive and growing design community. We need your passion for transformation and leadership of design, ability to work across functional boundaries, and change management as we continue to create compelling UI/UX through innovative new products.
As the VP of UX, you will report directly to the Chief Product Officer and work together with the executive leadership in Product Management, Visual Design, User Research, Info Dev and Engineering to define and implement product experience strategies across the portfolio.
Responsibilities: Ability to navigate through ambiguity, articulate your viewpoint and influence at the leadership level to find the best outcomes. A highly collaborative leader and strive to partner cross-functionally to build the very best product/user experiences, with the “Three-Click Rule” mentality. You will own the whole approach in revamping old technology to drive modern user experience. An in depth knowledge of Cloud technologies, including current trends on the relationship between UI/Cloud. Demonstrated ability to lead fast-paced design brainstorming and ideation sessions with cross-disciplinary teams that result in breakthrough UI design innovations for products and services. Motivated to work on highly complex problems with diverse scope, researching and/or designing new solutions to user experience challenges. A proven champion UX practice, consumer-centric thinking and the voice of our customer, both internally and externally. A understanding the variety of users, who they are, what their specific needs Solid and deep knowledge of data protection/platforms Proven in depth market understanding You ensure world class design quality end to end, across all design competencies, e.g., visual, content, motion, interaction design, design prototyping and design research. Qualifications: Minimum of a BA/BS in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Masters level education preferred. Experience with Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Agile development methods Ability to iterate in a fast-paced innovation environment Partner effectively and engage technology organization in user research exercises to create a cohesive user-centered design unit. 10+ years designing complex software products. 8 + years in UI/UX Design leadership. A track record of attracting and recruiting multi-disciplinary design teams. Exceptional leadership skills; with a proven track record of developing and communicating design strategy, building high performance teams and relationships across key stakeholders to achieve business goals. Superior written, graphical, and verbal communication skills. Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices, as well using analytics, user research and other approaches to help make key design decisions and iterate on products. Comfortable with complex executive level issues of a wide-ranging scope. Advocate the user’s perspective across all development phases, effectively communicating with cross-functional stakeholders (Product Management, Program Management, and Engineering). Ability to outline design and usability goals for the function and manage the process for achieving those goals. Manage the forecast for consumption by cross-functional product teams and vendors/contractors. Strategies that could span multiple releases, device types, multiple products, and even product lines. Ability and willingness to travel, as required.
