      YouTube Data Science (YTDS) is a 100+ analyst team that is part of the YouTube engineering organization, working closely with engineering, product, and leadership to make data-driven decisions to improve YouTube. Our projects include building new experiences at the intersection of creation and consumption, empowering viewers and creators to engage more deeply, and fostering communities.
      As a Data Scientist, you will evaluate and improve Google's products, collaborating with engineers and analysts on a wide range of problems. You will bring scientific and statistical expertise to product creation, development, and improvement, with an understanding of end-user behavior.       The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are role, level, and location-dependent, with individual pay influenced by skills, experience, and training. Your recruiter can share specific details for your location.

      Responsibilities

      • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and clarify business or product questions, providing feedback to refine analysis and models.
      • Design and evaluate models to mathematically express and solve problems, using custom data infrastructure or existing data models.
      • Gather information on business goals, priorities, and data infrastructure related to questions.
      • Own the process of data gathering, extraction, validation, and review to ensure quality and readiness for analysis.
