Job Description:
A company is looking for a Director of Data Security to lead a
team focused on protecting data assets.
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead a high-performing data security team covering all
areas of data security
Define the structure and roles of the team to address key security
domains such as data governance and compliance
Set the vision and strategy for the data security program, ensuring
alignment with organizational goals and regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related
field; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in data security, with at least 5 years in
leadership roles
Expertise in securing data platforms, specifically Databricks and
AWS
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g.,
GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Hands-on experience with database security, IAM, encryption, and
security monitoring tools
