new portfolio of cloud-led, data-centric storage platforms and
services to help the world's leading organizations harness their
data in new and interesting ways. NetApp is bringing its industry
leading, enterprise class data storage technologies into the
world's biggest public clouds and the simplicity & flexibility of
cloud into customer data centers. In support of that mission, we
are rapidly growing our Cloud Replication team. The Cloud
Replication team is responsible for cutting-edge technologies that
enable NetApp's Data Protection & Data Mobility capabilities. These
technologies are designed for container-based (Kubernetes) &
virtualized/traditional architectures and also integrated with
cloud storage capabilities of leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure,
GCP). About Role We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to
lead an exceptionally talented & growing engineering team
responsible for driving product development and strategy. As part
of the NetApp Research and Development function, the overall focus
of the team will be on delivering innovative technologies to
address competitive market and customer requirements with
enterprise-class product quality and time-to-market. The team will
also be responsible for maintenance & enhancements to existing
technologies & products. Job Requirements Essential Functions -
Manage team/teams of engineers responsible for all phases of
software development life cycle - Develop, modify and execute
policies & processes that will positively affect immediate
operations - Establish operational objectives & plans for the team
and delegate assignments - Develop project plans and ensure that
project goals are met - Develop proposed budgets and ensure
adherence once budget is approved - Utilize previous technical,
project management and people management experience to actively
lead complex projects requiring local & global collaboration - Take
responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing
Requirements - Strong oral and written communication skills are
essential - Clear understanding of the product development cycle
and project management - Experience with developing budgets and
predicting project costs - Demonstrated ability to manage
professional level employees - Ability to understand and apply new
technologies - Experience in hands-on systems software development
- Experience with the systems engineering domain requiring concepts
such as computer architecture, operating systems, file systems,
networking, algorithms & data structures - Experience in managing
software development projects with C/C++ in LINUX/UNIX environments
- Experience with software development in a Kubernetes environments
is a plus - Experience with storage technologies or cloud
technologies is a plus Interactions - This individual must work
effectively with staff to vice president level employees and
employees within and outside of their function and organization. -
Utilizes people skills and available people manager tools to
critically impact the growth of an individual within the company
and career. - This individual must demonstrate favorable results
through providing leadership to the function. Education - A minimum
of 10 years of experience as an individual contributor and a
minimum of 5 years as a people manager is required. - A Bachelor of
Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a
Master's Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required. -
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects is

Residents Only: The base salary hiring wage range for this position
which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for
the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is
197,000 - 240,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various
factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical
location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant
job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant
business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable
law. In addition, the position may include some of the following
comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K),
Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA
and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee
stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's).
