The team includes a group of experienced and talented data scientists and data science engineers and builds the end-to-end data analytics infrastructure and ML models of the product. The team is very focused on leveraging both ML and deep learning algorithms to solve real customer problemsJuniper's enterprise business is looking for a Data Science lead to lead the Marvis data science team. This role will be responsible for working with customers and the data science team on delivering ML models into a multitenant cloud SaaS environment. Additionally, this role will need to be able to present the Marvis value proposition at customer, analyst, and industry events.Educational Requirements

• Masters or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math, or equivalent fields with strong mathematical backgroundExperienceThe ideal candidate for this position needs to have experience in the following areas:
  • Experience building data science-driven solutions in a cloud SaaS environment including data collection, feature selection, model training, post-deployment validation
  • Hands-on coding skills (preferably in Python) processing large-scale data set and developing machine learning models
  • Familiar with machine learning or statistical modeling tools such as Numpy, ScikitLearn, MLlib, Tensorflow, PyTorch
  • Experience in attracting data science talent and leading a data science teamIt is also highly desirable to have experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Early stage experience
    • Networking- WiFi / wireless, switch, route, data centerRequired SkillsThe candidate needs to have the following skills and a strong understanding in the areas of:
    • Languages: Python
    • Cloud Technology: Kafka, Spark It is also highly desirable to have skills and a strong understanding in one or more of the areas:
    • Languages: GoLang, Java
    • Cloud Technology: Storm, Flink, Airflow Responsibilities
      • Lead the Marvis data science team

        • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.Minimum Salary: $204,000.00Maximum Salary:$312,800.00The pay range for this position is expected to be between $204,000.00 and $312,800.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations.
