to join our team as a Manager Manufacturing Operations 3 based out
of Sunnyvale, CA at the Marine Systems campus.What You'll Get to
Do:
- The Manager Manufacturing Operations directs all aspects and
phases of designated operations from inception through completion,
including fabrication, machining, welding, assembly and test (steam
plant).
- The individual is responsible for the cost and schedule
performance of Operations programs or subsystems of major programs
in designated areas.
- The individual monitor's adherence to master plans and
schedules, cost performance to budgets, identifies process problems
and develops solutions, and provides cost and schedule performance
data/status as the Cost Area Manager for programs in area.
- In addition, this individual directs the work of Supervisors
and Employees, supports safety initiatives, and interfaces with
Employee Union representatives as required for areas of
responsibility.
- The ideal candidate will provide leadership across the
manufacturing team. The ability to direct and lead the organization
to meet manufacturing delivery dates will be critical as well as
providing leadership and guidance in areas such as: technical
guidance, process development, continuous improvement, safety,
capacity and production planning, Capital/Facility planning,
cost/benefit analysis, Manpower planning and staffing, workforce
engagement, and merit planning. The ability to collaborate and
liaise with the various leaders across the site to meet all
business requirements and milestones is a key function of this

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited
college or university desired with 9+ years of experience; Master's
Degree with 7+ years of experience; PhD with 4+ years of experience
(4+ additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of
degree).
- Management and/or leadership experience.
- Strong general knowledge in manufacturing methods and
processes.
- Fluent with MS Office products - PowerPoint, Project, Excel,
Word.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a
clearance.Preferred Qualifications
- General MRP / ERP experience is desired.
- Government contracting and fixed price production experience is
desired.
- Master's degree in Engineering or Management.
- Current or active security clearance. Salary Range: $141,300
USD - $211,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary
bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share
in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director
positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition,
