team is looking for a Director of Trust Risk Management (TRM) to
lead our efforts in managing, mitigating, and addressing potential
risks in new products as well as enhancements to existing products.
This role is a key strategic leader that will drive impact across
the entire company and our product ecosystem.Trust Risk Managers
(TRMs) play a key role in scoping, prioritizing and executing
various cross-functional projects and initiatives. This includes,
but is not limited to: fraud/abuse systems & tool implementations,
risk assessments for new products and features, and addressing
incident response for time-sensitive issues. You will be exposed to
a wide array of technical and non-technical projects at any one
time that support LinkedIn's business and operations.The TRM team
is the connective tissue between the various LinkedIn product teams
and the Trust ecosystem - identifying when and how they should
interact, facilitating that interaction, and ensuring they address
the most critical issues on the right timelines. This role will
have deep exposure across multiple organizations and leadership.
The TRMs are a high growth team with an ambitious roadmap to
transform the way the organization incorporates Trust into new
product development - and pivotal in the journey to go from
thinking about Trust as a guardrail to Trust as a
differentiator.You will work closely with product, engineering,
legal, AI, security, and data science teams and will be pivotal in
defining how Risk is assessed and managed across Trust teams. Using
your strong communication skills, you'll effectively collaborate
with a variety of people and job functions, juggling and
accomplishing tasks of moderate to high complexity, and are able to
work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented
environment.Primary Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business needs and requirements from
internal business partners. Deep dive into business processes,
policies, workflows, and tools and systems.
- Manage and perform risk assessments for new products and
features to mitigate risk to members and customers
- Prioritize critical time-sensitive incidents of high impact to
the company
- Perform post-mortem to analyze gaps and identify improvements
to products and processes
- Craft and communicate effective data-driven stories and updates
to internal stakeholders in order to influence decisions and
outcomes
- Apply industry knowledge to educate & empower members,
customers, and employees on trust & security issues
- Work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders
to identify optimal solutions based on a variety of criteria (cost,
level of effort, complexity, timing, etc)
- Prioritize projects appropriately and help define strategy &
roadmap
- Lead cross-functional team including third-party vendors to
aggressively address key project issues, identify solutions and
remove obstacles.
- Provide status/health updates to various levels of leadership
and stakeholder audiences
- Clearly identify dependencies and risks associated with all
projects.Leadership Responsibilities:
- Proven ability to build high performing teams, setting a vision
and strategy to drive the teams forward and keeping them focused on
delivering results critical to business success
- Identify and analyze improvements to the business -
opportunities for improving the customer experience and driving
operating efficiency - to support the strategic and operational
goals of Trust & Safety
- Ability to lead and influence in a matrix environment is
critical
- Foster collaboration, value other's perspectives and gain
support and buy-in for organizational proposals
- Ability to negotiate with peers and senior leaders to come to
agreed upon and productive solutions to business problems
- Partner with cross-functional teams to produce requirements and
design for quality assurance that align to LinkedIn's business and
Trust & Safety strategies QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Risk Management, Product Management,
Process Improvement, or a comparative role
- 8+ years of management experience
- Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Arts
- Post COVID travel may be required up to 10%-20% to LinkedIn
sites nationally and internationallyPreferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years leading a team of Risk Management, Product Management,
and/or similar roles
- 4+ years of experience with Content Moderation, Policy or
Anti-Abuse Operations within a Trust & Safety organization
- Business consulting experience
- Familiarity with Internet Policy and Trust & Safety risk trends
like spam, fraud, identify theft, abuse and misinformation
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and processes, derive
insights, report insights in clear format, and present insights in
compelling fashion to executive level leadership
- Outstanding leadership, facilitation, and problem-solving
skills. Ability to effectively collaborate and influence at all
levels of the organization.
- Excellent relationship skills; ability to establish credibility
and rapport with technical and non-technical team members and to
work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- A broad enterprise-wide view of the business and varying
degrees of appreciation of strategy, processes, and capabilities,
enabling technologies and governance. ---
- Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
- Experience with common project management tools/Familiarity
with agile development or other rapid iteration methodologies
- Experience with metrics, analysis and other data-driven
decision making
- Ability to develop working knowledge of technical aspects of
systems, including configuration, settings, logging, and
permissions
- Strong ability to influence, negotiate, adapt to change
- Experience working in fast paced, high-growth, and results
orientated environment that demands excellence
- Ability to succeed in a highly collaborative team environment
with multiple in-flight initiatives and stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability
to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization;
this includes written and verbal communications as well as
visualizations.
- Experience with change management
- Superior judgment, problem resolution, team building,
negotiation, decision-making skills
- Ability to successfully navigate between tactical and strategic
objectives
