We are looking to hire a permanent, full-time Construction Manager
to help manage the concurrent construction of multiple public works
water resources infrastructure projects, such as pipelines, pump
stations and treatment facilities. If you are looking for an

As a construction manager, you play a crucial role in the business
development of our company. While working in a team-oriented
environment, your expertise is used to manage various projects in
our company including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment
facilities in the Salinas, Marina, Monterey Bay, and Santa Cruz
Supervising staff comes naturally to you, and you always strive to
maintain client satisfaction. You will perform contract
administration, implement technical solutions on
construction/design issues, monitor schedules and manage budgets.
You will leverage your talents of effective communication to manage
relationships between the Public Agency/Owner, contractors, and
designers. Written correspondence for submittals, change orders and
design clarifications doesn't intimidate you. You will step up to
analyze construction claims, negotiate claim orders and recommend
steps to successful resolutions. Your job can sometimes be
demanding, but the challenge is part of the reason why you love
this Construction Manager position!
Required Qualifications For a Construction Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management
or a related engineering discipline
- Professional Engineering (PE) license - in California
- 10+ years of related work experience
- Experience in the construction management, start-up and testing
of water resources infrastructure, including treatment plants, pump
stations, pipelines and related facilities.
- Fluent in English and able to compose grammatically correct
documents in English
- Familiarity in Word, Excel and Primavera P6
