About this Position Position Title: -Director, Supply Chain OperationsLocation: -Sunnyvale, CA (Well Qualified Remote Candidates Considered)Riverbed is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Operations. This position reports to the VP Manufacturing Operations Sourcing and is responsible for the overall supply chain operations.The Director of Supply Chain Operations -will lead cross functional teams to develop supply chain strategies for each of Riverbed's major commodities, including its contract manufacturing focus.He/she will be responsible for execution of these strategies including effective assessment and evaluation of new suppliers, supplier selection, contract negotiation, as well as ongoing supplier management. As part of ongoing supplier management, the Supply Chain Operations Management team will coordinate with the Program Management and Engineering teams to consolidate supplier performance data and hold Quarterly Business Reviews with suppliers, at which report card and other performance data will be shared.Our manufacturing is 100% outsourced. The Strategic Sourcing team will be responsible for all strategic and commercial considerations related to the Contract Manufacturers.Riverbed is a high-quality manufacturer of network optimization and visibility appliances.Qualifications:BS or BA degree from a reputable institutionMBA or equivalent is a plus7+ Years of involvement in Commodity Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain or equivalent role5+ Years of contract negotiation experience and sound understanding of corporate contractsTeam management know-how preferredExtraordinary business acumenKnowledge managing and/or working with contract manufacturersAbility to effectively lead changeExceptional written and verbal communication skillsSignificant exposure in high-tech and fast-paced environmentsFamiliarity with the computer network or storage industries desired Why Join Riverbed Riverbed offers a rewarding experience of working with the best minds in the industry, delivering exceptional network performance and visibility for any application.
