This multi-disciplinary team oversees brand strategy, creative design, multimedia production, content strategy, social media, digital marketing, and project management.The Director Brand Strategy will establish informed perspectives on how Intuitive will best define, communicate, and align its portfolio of products and services to be easily understood internally and externally The Director Brand Strategy will play a pivotal role listening, learning, synthesizing, and creating tangible output to illustrate, explain, and declare Intuitive's unique position and value across a variety of important audiences globally. You will serve a critical strategic role as both a coach and player within cross-functional project teams. You will be accomplished using copy and visual media to convey complex ideas simply and powerfully. You will serve as project and program leader on key strategic opportunities and be accountable for end-to-end concepts through execution, training, implementation, and measured impact over time. You will have strong opinions based on past experience and new insights you discover, but you will hold them loosely and remain flexible and open to new ideas and perspectives. You will seek out diversity of thought, experience, and opinion as you frame challenges and establish solutions that mirror the diversity of our customers.The ideal candidate has meaningful experience working with executives and subject matter experts of leading brands with strong design principles and clearly communicated purpose. In the past, you've developed your reputation as a strong collaborator, connector, communicator, and team-builder driving disciplined processes that yield remarkable outcomes.Role and Responsibilities:Brand LeadershipCollaborates with company stakeholders, including c-suite executives, corporate marketing, product and clinical marketing, event marketing, media relations, public affairs, internal communications, and others to frame, articulate, and amplify the Intutive brand to support the growth of the business globally.Serve as a critical thinker, planner, facilitator, and communicator of strategic opportunity within complex efforts the business undertakes; operating from the perspective of exploring opportunities key decisions may have on the Intuitive business and brand over time and across the globe.Use the brand foundations to connect and align commercial opportunity with marketing effectiveness and sales enablement.Lead internal and external teams to explore strategic opportunities and illustrate explicit proposals to make it easier for stakeholders and executives to make the right choices for the business while mitigating risk.Craft and help implement go-to-market strategy and enablement for growth of the Intuitive brand in key international markets.Apply systems thinking to offer solutions that are inherently scalable and efficient.Support the creation and evolution of visual and verbal guidelines that are components of a holistic brand management program.Build foundational messaging frameworks/hierarchies and brand messages that are easy to activate and pull-through the business.Collaborate with functional counterparts on improving alignment of key messages with creative execution that accelerates understanding of our brand, amplifies key ideas, and improves share of voice across key channels.Support development of portfolio and product strategy to grow the business, strengthen the brand, and build for the future.Serve as a reviewer of project inputs, originating as marketing and creative briefs, into the Brand and Creative teams and help train others to improve quality, actionability, and measurability of defined programs.Support alignment of corporate and product messaging/stories with functional counterparts to drive message consistency and creation efficiency.Connect messaging to insights from brand/market research, analytics, sales feedback, and testing to ensure ongoing relevance.Collaborate with Brand and Creative team leads on brand rollout plans, training, measurement, and impact to efficiency and consistency. -QualificationsSkills/Job Requirements:Minimum Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Business, Design, or related experience.Minimum of 12+ years of experience in marketing fundamentals, messaging platforms, campaign concepts, naming/nomenclature systems, and content strategy at a brand consultancy or corporate in-house team.Creative, strategic thinker with ability to distill complex content and multiple perspectives into cohesive, cogent communication frameworks that can scale across products, procedures, services, and audiences.Proven experience managing and mentoring junior strategists.Experience working with marketing and design teams on creative concepting, message testing, and omnichannel marketing programs.Excited about working on difficult problems with a dedicated team of high-energy, high-caliber people to advance strategic initiatives.Direct experience planning and measuring ROI, marketing analytics, brand tracking, and program level commercial impact to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed strategies.Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in a complex, matrixed organization.Polished presentation skills; ability to argue a point-of-view coherently and concisely; comfortable engaging with senior level executives; quick thinker; able to speak authoritatively, without seeming dogmatic or inflexible. - - - - - - - Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.Additional InformationDue to the nature of our business and the role, please note that Intuitive and/or your customer(s) may require that you show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19. - Details can vary by role.Intuitive is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
