Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in program management in a cross-functional organization.5 years of experience managing network device development and/or deployment.Experience working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams and customer bases.
Preferred qualifications:Foundational knowledge in data networking architectures and physical network components.Ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and effectively problem-solve.Ability to build and manage strategic and high-touch stakeholder relationships. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. We manage the deployment of new technology in production networks by enabling repeatable and scalable processes. We carefully manage deployment readiness, share information with our peers, and measure introduction velocity against plans.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Responsibilities Evaluate New Product Introductions (NPI) and develop program plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Manage issues, drive improvements, communicate and manage major milestones and transitions, as well as manage and execute deployments until target maturity.Provide technical and operational input, including workflow design and consulting, training, and documentation.Develop and engineer workflows in support of NPI deployments, and identify and develop software requirements in support of deployment automation.Travel up to 30% of the time as required.
