Strategic Account Manager NorCalJuniper is looking for sales professionals to develop and close opportunities across a defined list of customers. -The candidate will be specific-account focused, and will excel in this dynamic role, while leveraging a team of partner account managers to support growth of their territory. -S/He will be responsible for opportunities which will have been identified either through key partners, been escalated from Inside Sales or part of new customer acquisition activity. S/he will work with partners to break into these accounts by winning deals. -The emphasis will be on expanding Juniper's footprint within the accounts by leveraging specific sales plays. This will cover NorCal.Primary Responsibilities:The Enterprise Major Account Manager will work well in a matrixed environment, building a "virtual" team to drive success of their territoryThe Enterprise Major Account Manager will focus on developing the top -accounts in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a plan to penetrate these accounts with partnersThis individual will work with marketing, SEs, and partner account managersCreate a consistent cadence to driving partner-led demand generation, call campaigns, with strong opportunity management skillsExecutive selling skills required, to include various CxOs, IT Management, and other key Decision-MakersRelationship management skills that translate into identifying decision-makers and influencersManage opportunities, quota attainment, sales presentations, short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunity managementResponsible for building 3 Month, 6 Month and 9 Month pipelinesEngage resources, including the BU's to drive sales successProvide accurate and timely forecasts to sales managementCo-ordinates and lead members of virtual account teams: SEs, Managers, Insides Sales, Channel and Channel Management members, PLM, etcReporting line will be through the Regional Director and Sr Sales ManagerCandidate Required Background:Minimum 6-8 years experience on networking and network security sales is desirable in addition to a Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferredReferenceable track record of successful sales experience within Silicon Valley regionStrong track record of driving sales through channel partners in the Networking and/or Telecommunications industryExperience developing sales strategies, preparing proposals and quotes and presenting networking productsBroad-based technological awareness in the internetworking industry, complemented by knowledge of data networking concepts, with specific skills in the area of routing and switchingExcellent communication skills, both written and oralStrong presenter and closer with the ability to demonstrate the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophyCreative innovator who is a proactive team player, with a proven track record working in matrixed environmentsExcellent business acumenGood relationship building and consultative skillsAbility to prioritize in a dynamic, changing environmentAbility to Travel#accountmanagerABOUT JUNIPER NETWORKSJuniper Networks is in the business of network innovation.
