**This role is location flexible and can be remote within the
US**Containers and Kubernetes are transformative technologies that
continue to grow rapidly and help customers modernize their
workloads and their workforce experiences. We are the team in Azure
that designs and builds a common OS and the platform that enables
customers to modernize workloads with containers, and run on Azure
Kubernetes Service, - Azure Kubernetes Service on Azure Stack HCI
and other cloud/hybrid Kubernetes offerings through Windows Server.
We also design and build that common platform to enable internal
Microsoft teams to offer cost effective, secure and performant
services delighting the broader Microsoft enterprise and consumer

personal goals.We are seeking experienced talent -to focus on
delivering a smooth and competitive end-to-end customer experience
for Windows containers on Kubernetes. You will be a champion in
enabling Windows containers as a first-class citizen in open-source
projects like Kubernetes. You will also land the "bridge tooling"
opportunities with the community to bridge the gap between Windows
and cloud native technologies. This is a newly created role
addressing the increasing customer interest in Windows containers
on Kubernetes, hence you have the great opportunity to influence
and define the charter. To be successful, this role requires -a
-strong passion for customers, the open-source community and
technology.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesWork with internal and
external customers who use Windows containers on Kubernetes to
understand requirements, gaps, and opportunities aligned with team
and company vision Engage with the Kubernetes community especially
the SIG-Windows community to assess and prioritize the
opportunities for Windows containers on Kubernetes.Be a Champion
helping our globally distributed engineering teams and other
Microsoft internal partner teams navigate the Kubernetes community
and coordinate engineering efforts on Windows containers in
Kubernetes and other open-source projects.Develop roadmaps, feature
and product specifications including technical details, use cases
and success metrics, leveraging the OSS community.Work with our
globally distributed Engineering teams to develop and cost
implementation of features/plans and support development
lifecycles, and coordinate with the OSS community -Deliver
technical and high-level presentations to internal and external
audiencesAttend conferences to represent the team and
MicrosoftQualificationsPreferred Qualifications: -2+ years in a
technical product role.BA/BS in computer -science/related fields or
equivalent experience.Experience with -open-source -projects and/or
foundations.Experience with -the cloud native technology stack
-including Kubernetes, -containerd is a plus.Microsoft is an equal
