Job Description:

SingleStore is looking for an experienced GL Senior Manager.--This is a leadership role in accounting and will have visibility to senior management. We are rapidly growing and need to enhance our current processes to be scalable and manageable. We are looking for someone who likes to "build it like an owner." This person will have a voice and an impact on how things are run. We are a collaborative and supportive team and are not only looking for the right skill set, but looking for someone we can depend on and work together with. This role is a new position that will work in close coordination with the Corporate Controller, a team in the US, and shared resource center based out of India. Main responsibility is to manage the books and the close. About the role:

  • Lead the team with empathy, respect and candor.
  • Manage general ledger accounting activities, including PTP, OTC and consolidation. Implement/improve processes and controls. Formalize the COA.
  • Close the books monthly. Compile and review monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages for Management.
  • Have a working knowledge of technical accounting areas, or the ability to understand technical accounting conclusions and put it into practice. Does not have to be an expert.
  • Implement multi-book accounting, Advanced Revenue Module in NetSuite and continued improvement in system interfaces and automation.
  • Review/prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Comply with local, state & federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Primary interface with statutory and external auditors.
  • Develop and drive necessary financial policies, procedures, and play a leading role in directing change initiatives and process improvements. Core Competencies:
    • Experience managing a team and accounting operations
    • CPA with 7-10 years of experience in accounting.
    • Strong US GAAP knowledge; knowledge of IFRS a plus.
    • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
    • Strong understanding of ERP, including implementation.
    • Excellent communication skills, must be a team leader.--
    • Experience with a "Shared Resource Center" and/or working closely with international colleagues a big plus.
