Education:

• Must have Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience required.Mandatory Skills: Qualifications
  • 10 years working experience with the business and technical aspects of data governance, master data management, (data management implementations experience required).

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with ability to present high impact material in front of both small and large groups required.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex problems across multiple business and IT stakeholder groups in an effective and timely manner required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with information management and/or data governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of data governance best practice principles required; knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK knowledge highly preferred.
  • Experience creating KPI's and formal leadership reporting required.
  • Ability to positively influence, mentor, and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members.Job Responsibilities:
    • Support the Director of Data Management and Strategy by turning established data governance strategy and objectives into tactical implementation and execution of processes, tools, and organizational change.
    • Prepare presentation materials, coordinate, facilitate, and perform follow-up activities in support of Data Governance Committee meetings.
    • Establish, coordinate, and manage the task execution of tactical working groups established by the DGC.
    • Coordinate business collaboration across the enterprise by data owners and data stewards and act as their primary centralized point of contact.
    • Act as final reviewer and administrator for enterprise-wide master data management and metadata management efforts (data definitions, processes, tools, strategy, etc.).
    • Assist with the creation of data governance processes, policies, governance KPI's and coordinate the execution and roll-out of assurance activities with data owners.
    • Create, institutionalize, and assure data management best practices.
    • Provide guidance and drive selection of tools/platforms to enable governance.
    • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to establish and maintain a data governance roadmap through a deep understanding of the current state and the evolving business requirements for enterprise data governance needs.
    • Apply creative problem-solving skills to data governance efforts in a way that satisfies business leaders' needs and lays the groundwork for future successes.
    • Ensure that key data governance artifacts (documentation, definitions, processes, policies, etc.) are created, controlled, managed, and maintained over time.
    • Establish and report data quality and data governance metrics to the Dand stakeholders.
    • Continually look for new ways to improve data governance using actionable opportunities to increase efficiencies and improve the customer experience. - provided by Dice
