Technical Marketing Engineer

The Technical Marketing Engineer is responsible for defining, planning, and ensuring successful execution of Infinera's demos and trials strategy for new product introduction. The role involves working closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Technical Support to define a demo and trial strategy to enable a winning product launch and go-to-market for all new Infinera products and SW releases. Key responsibilities include: Dedicated responsibility for hands-on NPI trial definition, planning, and successful execution. Work with lead customers to ensure demo, trials and product certifications needs are successfully planned and executed. Interfaces with sales on customer expectations on trials scope Interfaces with IQ Release planning (PLM and R&D) to create an execution plan that meets demos and trials needs Planning and tracking PLM demos and trials budget and BOM optimization Collaborate with Sales and PLM team to ideate solutions, reference architecture that demonstrate Infinera's technology effectively. Building partner Solutions for Business Development activities Executing thought leadership trials to show Infinera product differentiation in marketplace Education/Experience The position requires previous experience in the datacom/telecom market segment, working as a TME, SW/HW development, or system test engineer on one of the following types of products: High-end distributed IP/MPLS routing and switching platforms DWDM/Optical transport platforms Experience in virtualization, software and programming will be an added plus for this role.
