and Environmental Engineering department in the School of
Engineering anticipates hiring multiple Readers for the below
courses for Summer 2025: ENGR 120: Fluid Mechanics
ENGR 155: Engineering Economic Analysis
ENGR 180: Spatial Analysis and Modeling

The Reader will be responsible for grading homework, quizzes, exams
as needed under the supervisor of the instructor. The position will
require up to a maximum of 18 hours per week. The University of
California Readers are represented by the UAW-AFL-CIO.

Qualifications Basic qualifications The Reader will have
successfully completed the course or related course they are
appointed to as a Reader with a grade of "B" or higher and be in
good standing at the University with at least a 3.0 cumulative
grade-point average (GPA). Readers will usually be graduate
students; but qualified undergraduate students may be employed,
especially when graduate students are not available. Professional
readers, not enrolled as students, may be employed to meet special
