Job Description:
Description: In this role you will:
- Perform solid modeling using ProE/CREO design tool
- Create associated 2D drafting drawings required to
produce/procure hardware using MCAD tool
- Develop and maintain product designs and specifications
associated with hardware, working with in-house manufacturing,
ATLO, procurement, outside suppliers and parts engineering to
determine applicable requirements
- Review requirements from various sources (dynamics, stress,
systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable
requirements are flowed into the detailed design of the
products
- Work in a product development environment on new designs as well
as supporting existing and heritage applications.
- Ability to work with in house manufacturing, ATLO, and outside
suppliers to drive them to deliver critical program hardware that
meets requirements within applicable cost and schedule
constraints
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
technical field
- Mechanical design and/or integration knowledge
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling and drafting
with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
(GD&T)
- Proficient with Mechanical Engineering fundamental principles
- Experience with mechanical hardware design, manufacture and
integration
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation
- Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance; US citizenship is
required
Desired Skills:
- Creo and CAD data management (EPDM) experience
- Flight hardware experience
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin specifications, tools, and
procedures
- Additive Manufacturing experience
- Experience with THAAD processes and products
- Experience with LM Qnotes
- Experience with production support, integration, and/or
qualification of hardware components
- Combination of experience in: engineering project management,
supplier management, technical evaluations, tracking and
development of cost/schedule
- Exposure to or participation with failure investigations, root
cause analysis, and/or corrective action disposition
- Understanding of other engineering disciplines including stress,
dynamics, thermal analysis, production, electronics, systems
engineering, etc.
- Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of
continuous improvement concepts
- Knowledge of composite structure design and fabrication
- Experience with test methods, planning and execution
- Experience working with suppliers
- Active clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee
selected for this position will work part of their work schedule
remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed
during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate
work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our
employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules
provide employees with additional time away from the office and are
in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New
York City is $77,600 - $146,000. Please note that the salary
information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers
factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of
the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key
skills as well as market and business considerations when extending
an offer.
