We build and maintain platforms at scale and ensure that Yahoo Mail is always able to serve its hundreds of millions of users and billions of daily transactions.In the production engineering team, we use a combination of open source software and developing our internal tools, we engineer automated solutions for daily operations, auto scaling, auto remediation, failure detection/predictions and performing frequent changes with running thousands of servers and nodes non-interrupted. We encourage new ideas and continuously experiment and evaluate new technologies to assimilate them into our infrastructure. • Design, develop, code and test the software systems, automations and tools.
• Participate in agile development of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of systems
• Recommend modifications to processes and procedures, and contribute to best practices, architecture, and implementations
• Promote and solicit ideas within project teamsYou Must Have
  • Actively pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related major, and strong record of academic achievement
  • Knowledge of software development processes, environments, tools and methods (programming proficiency in a language, preferably Java, Golang, Python or Nodejs)
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts, large-scale software architecture, networking and distributed systems, and UNIX/Linux environments
  • Experience in one or many of the following is a plus:
    • Large-scale, large-user base website development experience
    • Security

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
