Industrial Engineer - Mfg Capacity Planner/Principal Industrial
Engineer - Mfg Capacity Planner to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals in Sunnyvale, CA. You will be joining an
energetic Ops Planning team that supports a low volume, high-mix
manufacturing environment.What You'll get to Do:The Capacity
Planner role will include interaction with cross-functional teams
and leaders in a production manufacturing and operational
management environment supporting mission critical hardware for the
US Navy.You will see a variety of assignments which include
maintaining accuracy of scheduled orders, operations and order
durations, scheduling tools and methods for performing and
forecasting workloads, as well as work cell capacity information.
You will bring about inspiring changes through process improvement,
factory improvement initiatives, increased productive yield, work
cell flow, capital equipment justification, data analysis and
training.Your passion for continuous improvement and initiative
towards technical growth within the Manufacturing Planning field
will fuel Operations. You will establish yourself as a team leader
through excellent interpersonal skills and reliable teamwork
towards our deliverables. You must enjoy an analytical challenge
and effectively transfer your ideas and experiences to others
throughout the organization. You will work under general direction,
independently, and develop timely solutions to our most challenging
objectives. You prioritize daily to bring to life imaginative,
thorough, and practicable approaches to our product lines and our
essential throughput, quality, and safety requirements.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Troubleshoot business logic and processes for MRP / ERP
systems.
- Provide expertise for resolving technical problems,
troubleshoot schedules and modifies scheduling methodology to
customer requirements.
- Conduct data analysis to streamline production.
- Coordinate interdepartmental collaboration to develop processes
and training for short and long term capacity.
- Improve equipment and personnel schedules and utilization based
on a master production schedule and critical path MRP
requirements.
- Review and track customer products to recommend steps for
capacity and BOM time-phasing accuracy solutions.
- Identify and automate systems to provide data to key decision
makers (ie dashboards, etc).This requisition may be filled at
either an Industrial Engineering - Mfg Capacity Planner level or a
Principal Industrial Engineering - Mfg Capacity Planner level.
MANUMS SNYVLCA Basic Qualifications: *This requisition may be
filled at either an Industrial Engineering - Mfg Capacity Planner
level or a Principal Industrial Engineering - Mfg Capacity Planner
level*
- Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or
Math) discipline with 2+ years of relevant work experience, or
Masters degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of relevant work
experience.OR
- Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or
Math) discipline with 5+ years of relevant work experience, or
Masters degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relevant work
experience, or PhD with 0 years of relevant experience.AND
- Analytical skills required for determining priorities, lead
times, and shop floor schedules. Exposure to materials requirement
planning principles.
- Able to read and interpret MRP, bills of materials, routings,
non-conforming materials reports, and other common manufacturing
documents.
- Strong computer skills including operating Windows based
personal computers and using Microsoft products such as Outlook,
Word, Powerpoint, Excel (intermediate level or higher), Project,
Visio, and PowerBI.
- Ability to clearly express oneself verbally and in writing in
the English language using good grammar and vocabulary. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills to include strong
presentation, project and organizational skills.
- US citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret
clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
- CPIM or APICS training
- Experience with creating queries and visualization
dashboards.
- 2+ years hands on Shop Floor or Machine Shop Planning
experience utilizing MRP system; SAP preferred. Salary Range:
$74,900 USD - $112,300 USD Salary Range 2: $92,200 USD - $138,400
USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
